The wedding of pop diva Taylor Swift with her Mr Right is behind us, their white tie for their wedding dress code has been a pinnacle of the most formal guest dress style. There are very different nuptials and fashion choices by female guests, but also certain basic rules of big Nos and certain etiquette for guest wedding dress.

The attire you wear to the beach or the countryside informal wedding is different to the formal ceremony at the posh hotel with the evening reception. The consideration of the provided dress code sent by the future husband and wife, the location are the most imporant tasks. There is no point to come in the high heels sinking into soil of the meadow or a romantic beach and wander in the shorts around formally dressed guests clinking the champagne glasses after the nuptials.

The women opt often for two dresses and shoes like the main star of the event – the bride. Something comfortably pretty and formal , or other way around.
- Black Tie: floor length gowns, black ties, tuxedos.
- Formal: floor length gowns, tuxedos optional, black suits acceptable
- Semi-Formal: below the knee dresses, dress shirts, slacks
- Casual: sundresses, collared shirts, khakis
Our good dress for less formal bride is available on our eshop.
Black colour is not a shocking choice of the guest dress when it comes to the more formal wedding, but the white was and is a big no no. It is about showing the respect and love for the newlyweds. The rule book about the virgin white assigned just for the young brides is ripped off, but the copycats and mean girls after the bride are not allowed. White jacket on its own over different dress is fine.

The pastels, patterns and bold colors are good, but beware to be too bold with the gold, sequins, animal prints and huge acres of the flesh during daylight. Go for a good fit, cut and also the undergarment. Wearing the right wedding guest dress is about opting for a right dress for our bodies and ourselves, enjoying the day and paying respect to the new married couple rather than being the troublemakers and the wedding crashers. The options what to wear are almost endless.
